Genus Chaceon

Carapace length half to two-thirds width, semiquadrate. Dorsal surface with the branchial regions not markedly inflated. Antero-lateral margins with five teeth. Front relatively narrow, quadridentate, with well developed, large teeth. Orbits shallow, rounded. Chelipeds subequal. Male abdomen with all segments distinct, triangular. G1 stout. G2 long, with elongate distal part. (Guinot 1998)

Type species: Geryon fenneri Manning & Holthuis, 1984, by original designation.
