Genus Xanthias

Rathbun, 1897

Carapace regions generally feeble or obliterated, finely granular or smooth; if the regions are projecting and smooth, the two posterior teeth on the antero-lateral margins of the carapace terminating in strong apices, the first behind the exorbital angle being a rounded and projecting lobe. Male chelipeds subequal or feebly unequal. Chelipeds and ambulatory legs either smooth and naked, or with fine granules. (Guinot 1998)
