Lithoscaptus tri

(Fize & Serène, 1955b)

Carapace much longer than broad and suboval, its anterior part being declivous obliquely downward; greatest breadth of carapace at a little behind median part; surface covered with conical granules which are prominent and more or less spiniform on anterior region; gastric region convex, with spiniform granules, bordered antero-laterally by an oblique very shallow furrow at each side; front with a moderately deep median incision; internal orbital angle tipped with a large spine and external orbital angle with some spines. Chelipeds homochelous; upper length of palm nearly equal to length of dactylus and shorter than twice its height. (Türkay 1995)

Type locality: Nha Trang, Vietnam.
Range: Japan - Taketomi-jima, Yaeyama-retto and Chichi-jima, Ogasawara-shoto (Takeda & Tamura, 1980c), Hachijo-jima (Takeda & Tamura, 1985); Vietnam - Nha Trang (Fize & Serène, 1955b, 1957).
