Carapace slightly broader than long, subcircular; surface convex and with an H-shaped groove between the gastric and cardiac regions. Front narrow and slightly produced, anterior margin a little concave in the median. Dorsal-orbital margin with indistinct and obtuse serrations. Antero-lateral margin and pterygostomial region thickly covered with prominent granules and pubescence. Postero-lateral margins subparallel. Posterior margin straight. Merus of the third maxilliped of the male subcircular; ischium marked with a longitudinal groove in the middle.
Chelipeds quite asymmetrical. Merus short triquetrous. Carpus with the inner-distal angle obtusely angular. Palm smooth, a little longer than broad. Fingers slender and elongate; fingers of the major chela armed with various-sized teeth in the basal half of the inner margins; tips crossed. Ambulatory legs slender and elongate; dactylus of the last leg slightly turned upwards.
First pleopod of the male somewhat S-shaped, with its distal portion armed with long spines on the inner side. First segment of the male abdomen broad, its lateral margin reaching to coxae of the last legs: the sixth segment with its basal margin subequal to 1.5 times the length of the segment; telson subtriangular, with its distal margin bluntly rounded. Carapace length of the male 1.40 mm, breadth 17 mm. (Dai & Yang, 1991)
Type locality: between Samar and Masbatae, Destacado Island, Philippines.
