Front sinous, inner interior angle of orbit obtuse. Lateral tooth of carapace acute. P1 large, carpus angulate at inner apex but not acute, ischium prominent acute at inner apex, inner margin dentate, teeth truncate or somewhat double, or serrulate. P2-5 sparsely pubescent, ischium narrow. Pink to purplish borders in colour. (Dana, 1852c: 260; Castro, 1997b: 128)

Type locality: Guam.
