Lyreidus stenops

Carapace slightly contricted behind the external orbital angles, which are prominent and projecting beyond the rounded tip of front, distance between the tips of the external orbital angles much less than one third of extreme width of carapace; antero-lateral borders without spines. Carpus of cheliped usually armed with one spine. Second and third pereiopods smooth and shiny, fourth pereiopod with flattened dactyl. (Türkay 1995)

Range: Japan - west of Satsuma (Yokoya, 1933), Shimoda (Sakai, 1935a), Manazuru, Shimoda, Nanki Shirahama and Tosa Bay (Sakai, 1937a), Sagami Bay (Sakai, 1965b), Sagami Bay, Mikawa Bay, Kii Nagashima, Kii Minabe, and Tosa Bay (Sakai, 1976a), Shiono-misaki (Takeda, 1979a), Yamagata Prefecture (Suzuki S., 1979), Kumano-nada (Miyake, 1983); Korea - Cheju-do (Kim, 1973); Taiwan (Takeda & Miyake, 1970a); China - Hong Kong (Shen, 1931b), Guangdong including Hainan Island (Dai & Yang, 1991); Philippines - north of Lubang Island (Goeke, 1986); Indonesia - Makassar Strait (Goeke, 1986); 60-202 m.
