Genus Eriocheir

de Haan, 1835

Carapace rectangular. Dorsal surface convex; epigastric and protogastric cristae present. Antero-lateral margins long, arched, cut into four acute or rectangular teeth. Frontal margin granulated, with four teeth. Posterior margin of epistome entire and with lobulations at lateral ends. Third maxillipeds widely gaping, very broad; merus with its outer border not straight; palp articulating at the middle portion of the anterior border of the merus; exopodite narrower than the ischium. Chelipeds unequal; merus with distal tooth; palm thickly setose on outer and inner surfaces; tips of dactyli excavated, corneous. Ambulatory legs long, slender; dactyli long, curved.
