Subgenus Actites

Lanchester, 1901

The bilobed front is projecting beyond the orbits that are broadly opened dorsally. The carapace, chelipeds, sternal plastron and abdomen are finely granular and punctate; through a magnifying-glass they appear sponge-like, forming a reticulation of lines of small granules. The ambulatory legs are noticeably flat and with crests on their anterior and posterior margins. (Serène, 1984)
