Eyes either without orbits, or with incomplete or commencing orbits. Male abdomen broadened; telson subquadrate and invaginated deeply into sixth segment. G1 lanceolate, longitudinally grooved, with a bulbous base, and with rows of filamentous setae on either side of groove. (Guinot 1998)
