Carapace with surface smooth to naked eye, a number of granules arranged in transverse rows occur on branchial regions; front deflexed, slightly constricted between bases of ocular peduncles, with smooth margins, straight distally, median furrow deep; lateral margins posteriorly parallel, 2 large and 1 small antero-lateral teeth. Ocular peduncles long and narrow, cornea extending to base of external orbital angle. Central region of epistome excavated. Merus of third maxilliped markedly smaller than ischium. Palm of male cheliped stout, outer face smooth to naked eye, inner face with dense patch of hair centrally near distal margin continuous with hair on immovable finger, with scattered granules jus visible to naked eye; immovable finger not deflexed, cutting edge with a series of large rounded granules, but without differentiated tooth, inner surface with dense mat of hair near cutting margin; cutting edge of dactylus proximally with a large, distally enlarged, crenulated tooth. Meri, carpi and propodi of ambulatory legs granular, with sparse hairs along upper margins. (Türkay 1995)
