Carpus of male cheliped unarmed; lower surface of palm and immovable finger without longitudinal carinae. Abdomen of male abruptly constricted at the fifth segment; all segments separate and distinct. Epistomial margin with median lobes. Front not remarkably narrow. Orbits transverse. Lateral margin of carapace with a notch behind outer orbital angle. Meri of pereiopods 2-5 without tympana. (Davie 1996)
Type locality: Dhaka, Bangladesh, brackish water.
Range: Bangladesh - Dhaka (de Man, 1908); China - Chungming, Jiangsu Province (Shen, 1940b).
