Ilyoplax ningpoensis

Carpus of male cheliped unarmed; lower surface of palm and immovable finger without longitudinal carinae. Abdomen of male abruptly constricted at the 5th segment; all male abdominal segments separate and distinct. Epistomial margin with median lobes. Front not remarkably narrow. Orbits transverse. Lateral margin of carapace entire. Tympana on meri of pereiopods 2-4 occupying half dorsal and ventral surfaces; on pereiopod 5 dorsal tympana obliterated, ventral one very large. (Davie 1996)

Type locality: Ningpo, Chekiang Province, and Changlo, Muihwa, Fukien Province.
Range: China - Ningbo, Zhejiang Province, and Changlo, Muihwa, Fujian Province (Shen, 1940b), Hong Kong (Davie, 1992).
