Carapace with orbits strongly oblique; front broad, narrowest below eyestalk bases; antero-lateral margins absent, exorbital tooth very acute and produced, directed antero-laterally. Palm of major cheliped with moderate tubercles in upper part of center of inner face, oblique ridge moderate, its largest tubercles either on apex or more distally; outer face with a small, shallow irregular hollow with indefinite edges at base of immovable finger; small cheliped in both sexes with merus posteriorly flattened, armed with tubercles arranged in a supraventral row that curves up distally, gape at base narrower than width of immovable finger, decreasing distally, with a few strong serrations in distal half. Horny terminal endpiece of male first pleopod tubular, with extremely narrow flanges on both sides; palp long. (Türkay 1995)
