Pseudopinnixa carinata

The carapace is rounded trapezoid in outline, its dorsal surface smooth and slightly convex; no trace of areolation., The external maxillipeds are peculiar, the dactylus being slender and articulated at the distal end of the propodus. Anterior three pairs of ambulatory legs are subequal in size, the last pair is small. (T. Sakai, 1976)

Type locality: Tokyo Bay, Japan.
Range: Japan - Tokyo Bay (Ortmann, 1894a), Osaka Bay (Sakai, 1955a), Inubo-zaki, Tokyo Bay, Yokohama and Osaka Bay (Sakai, 1976a), Matsuyama, Seto Inland Sea (Takeda et al., 2000); low tidal mark.
