Carapace quadrilateral, covered with long silky hairs and dense, soft pubescence; long, silky hairs especially dense along frontal and antero-lateral margins. Surface of carapace almost smooth, regions distinct. Front bilobed, margin convex, with shallow, indistinct median cleft. Lateral lobule and internal orbital angle absent, front continuous with supraorbital angle. First two lobes broad, truncate; third less broad; fourth low, blunt tooth. Notches separating third and fourth lobes deep, narrow; those separating first, second and third shallower, more V-shaped; especially that between first and second. Postero-lateral margins smooth, slightly converging. Ventral surfaces, pterygostomial and subbranchial regions covered with short hairs. Third maxillipeds relatively smooth, uniformly covered with fine pubescence, antero-lateral angle sharply produced. Endostomial ridges very weak, anterior portions undiscernible.
Chelipeds asymmetrical, right larger. Entire surface of left cheliped and upper oblique third of palm of right cheliped covered with small, rounded granules and long, silky hairs. Lower two thirds of right cheliped smooth, glabrous. Granules and hair extend to proximal part of dactylus in both chelipeds. Carpus covered with small granules and long hairs, inner angle with blunt tooth. Both fingers pigmented brown throughout length.
Ambulatory legs long, smooth, unarmed, covered with long, silky hairs. Second leg longest.
Abdomen seven-segmented, last segment approximately equal in length to penultimate. First and third narrow and broad. First pleopod S-shaped, tip distinctly hooked, with very stout sub-terminal hair. Second pleopod short, without flagellum. (Ng & Tan, 1988)
