(Lanchester, 1902)
The bilobed front is projecting beyond the orbits that are broadly opened dorsally. The carapace, chelipeds, sternal plastron and abdomen are finely granular and punctate; through a magnifying-glass they appear sponge-like, forming a reticulation of lines of small granules. The ambulatory legs are noticeably flat and with crests on their anterior and posterior margins. The two posterior teeth of the antero-lateral margins of the carapace are rounded lobes and the postero-lateral margins are nearly straight or feebly concave, the supraorbital internal angle is not noticeably projecting and the regions of the carapace not inflated; 1M is delineated and separated from a part of 2M and from another part of 2F+1F. The palm of the chelipeds is without a crest on the superior margin. (Serène, 1984)
