Liocarcinus corrugatus

Carapace with numerous transverse, anteriorly ciliated ridges; front with 3 broadly triangular teeth; antero-lateral borders with 5 teeth including external orbital tooth. Thoracic sternum with marked squamiform rugosities. Cheliped palm with distinct ridges, carpus with a distinct tooth at its inner corner. Ambulatory legs stout and pilose; dactyl of swimming leg lanceolate and with a clear ridge in median line. (Türkay 1995)

Portunidae with eyestalks of normal length; carapace broad, with numerous transverse ridges, not convex in both directions; chelipeds and legs both long, one pair of legs as long as chelipeds; carapace relatively narrow; dactyl of fifth leg lanceolate; basal joint of second antenna broad.
