Genus Cyclograpsus

H. Milne Edwards, 1837

Small size. Carapace rounded quadrate, with lateral margins parallel or divergent posteriorly. Dorsal surface depressed, smooth. Antero-lateral margins entire, or feebly toothed only with 1-2 obscure notches behind the exorbital angles. Front not much less than half the width of carapace. Pterygostomial region and ventro-lateral surface without reticulation of oblique striae and rows of short setae. Orbits transversely oval, completely filled by the eyes. Eyestalks much shorter than the breadth of front. Chelipeds unequal, rather massive. Ambulatory legs not particularly slender. Male abdomen with all segments distinct (Guinot 1998)
