Genus Heteropilumnus

de Man, 1895

Carapace subsquarish. Dorsal surface quite depressed, with the regions moderately defined, pubescent. Chelipeds and legs furnished with setae. Antero-lateral margins with teeth, truncate or rounded. Front divided into two lobes by a notch. Antennules folding transversely into the fossae. Chelipeds unequal; outer surface of palm armed with prominent, coarse granules. Ambulatory legs relatively long and thin. Male abdomen relatively narrow. G1 pilumnid. G2 sigmoid. (Guinot 1998)
