Genus Neoxanthops

Guinot, 1968

Carapace relatively large (width/length ratio between 1.30 and 1.60). Carapace more or less convex, sometimes flattened, only weakly or not areolated. Antero-lateral margins of the carapace long, having behind the exorbital angles four poorly indicated teeth, shaped as dentiform lobes, separated by linear, close fissures. Front noticeably produced beyond the supraorbital angles, lamelliform, more prominent in the middle and laterally sinuous. Orbits small and deeply hollowed. Chelipeds unequal in males. (Guinot 1998)
