Carapace subrectangular or suboval; hepatic and branchial margins with lobes; postorbital lobe small or absent, antorbital angle of eave not produced; anterior part of carapace ahead of orbits not produced laterally, flagellum of antenna usually visible dorsally; orbit not comprising a continuous rim; meri of ambulatory legs smooth or with only a terminal tubercle or lobe; ambulatory legs subchelate, sixth segment with ventral setiferous projection.
