Rathbun, 1932
Carapace 1.17 times as broad as long, the dorsal surface very convex fore and aft, covered with very short fur (but in full-grown specimens it is usually naked); there is a pair of indistinct crescentic grooves, one on either side of the cardiac region. The front is very narrow and composed of two rounded lobules. The orbits are dorsal and circular, eyes unpigmented. The antero-lateral borders are continuous with the infraorbital border and are well arcuate; the postero-lateral borders are divergent backwards and the greatest width of carapace is therefore across their posterior extremities; the surface along these boders is covered with fine granules. The posterior border is well arcuate and convex.
There is an acuminate spine at the inner angle of wrist; palm high and compressed, the superior border crested. Ambulatory legs are fringed with hairs, the dactyli are very acuminate and only slightly curved. (T. Sakai, 1939: 572)
