Carapace slightly broader than long, subquadrangular. Antero-lateral margins slightly oblique, dentate. Front less than half the greatest width of carapace, rather prominent. Antennules fold obliquely. Antennae in the orbital hiatus. Orbits large. A rhomboidal gap between the third maxillipeds. Merus of third maxillipeds broader than long, without oblique hairy ridge; palp articulating in the middle of anterior border of merus; exopodite narrow. Chelipeds weak, shorter than the legs; tips of fingers spooned. Ambulatory legs slender; dactyls slender. Male abdomen long. (Guinot 1998)
