Carapace xanthoid in outline. Dorsal surface with the regions hardly indicated, smooth or granular. Antero-lateral margins emarginated with a more or less broad, continuous crest, distinctly divided into four rounded lobes. Ambulatory legs with the supero-external surfaces of the carpus with two high, smooth, subparallel crests, united distally and forming a more or less complete elongate cup. (Guinot 1998)
