Genus Deiratonotus

Manning & Holthuis, 1981

Carapace about transversely quadrangular, surface very flat, with 3 elevations forming a haired transverse ridge slightly behind middle; antero-lateral borders without teeth behind external orbital angle. Chelipeds homochelous, with clear sexual dimorphism; male chela with single tooth on cutting edge of dactylus, no one on immovable finger; female chelae without any teeth on fingers. Meri of second to fifth pereiopods without spines. Abdomen of male with second to fifth segments fused, constricted at level of fifth segment so that the gonopods are partly visible when abdomen is pressed against thorax; first segment somewhat wider than second but not nearly reaching the coxae of fifth pereiopods. Male first pleopod with tip ending in a sharp point. (Türkay 1995)
