Subgenus Charybdis

Antero-lateral margins of carapace cut into six teeth. Posterior margin of carapace straight, forming a curve with postero-lateral margins. The four medial frontal teeth a little broader than lateral frontal teeth. Lobule at the external angle of the basal antennal article joining the front and completely excluding the flagellum from the orbital hiatus. Chelipeds without a distal spinule on posterior border of merus. (Guinot 1998)
