Lobules of the dorsal face separated by broad furrows; tufts of setae scattered. On the dorsal surface cardiac region subdivided into two parts. 3M subdivided into three parts, the anterior one being very small; 5L with a V-shaped notch on the anterior margin. Antero-lateral margins of the carapace clearly divided into four lobes, of which the first is entirely separated from the exorbital angle. Frontal margin formed of two convex lobes separated from the supraorbital angles by a concavity; medially a deep median sinus. Male chelipeds with the black colouration on the fixed finger not extending onto the palm. Ambulatory legs strongly nodular and with a few long setae. Thoracic sternum finely granular. (Guinot 1998)
