Shen, 1932
This is a form of Philyra yangmataoensis from which it can be distinguished in the features below:
1. Posterior portion of carapace narrower and postero-lateral margin somewhat straight.
2. Branchio-cardiacal groove very deep.
3. Posterior margin of carapace truncate and with its lateral extremity somewhat angulated.
4. No horny tip but only a few setae on distal portion of its male appendage.

Type locality: Yantai, Shandong Peninsula, China.
Range: China - Shandong Peninsula (Shen, 1932b), Shih-chia-tao (Shen, 1937c); at low tide mark.
