Philyra yangmataoensis

Shen, 1932

Diagnosis: It differs from Philyra pisum by the following points:
1. Body smaller in size.
2. Coarser granulated patches on its branchial, gastric and cardiac regions and with a prominent granulated median line.
3. Lateral portion of frontal region strongly depressed.
4. A line of coarse granules along outer margin of ischium of third maxilliped, another line on exognath.
5. Merus of cheliped and sternum closely tuberculated.
6. A short, horny spatulate tip at apex of its male appendage.

Type locality: Yangmatao, Shandong Peninsula, China.
Range: Korea - Geumsanpo and Ungcheon (Kamita, 1941); China - Liaodong Bay, Shandong Peninsula and Fujian (Shen, 1932).
