Carpus of male cheliped unarmed; abdomen of male not obviously constricted at the 5th segment. Carapace quadrilateral; orbits almost or quite transverse, short and thick. Lateral border of carapace without notch behind exorbital angle. Cutting edge of dactylus of male cheliped with two or more denticulated prominences, the proximal one the broadest. Pereiopods 2-4 tomentose, with indistinct tympana on the meri. (Davie 1996)

Type locality: Yanghokou, Bo Hai, China.
Range: China - Liaodong Peninsula, Liaodong Bay, Bo Hai, and Shandong Peninsula (Shen, 1932); Korea - Yeong-jong Island, Ilsin and Sindo Island (Kamita, 1941), Jag-yag, Palmi Island and Mogpo (Kim, 1973); muddy estuary.
