Carapace slightly depressed, branchio-cardiac groove distinct, hepatic region without strong vertical tubercle; lateral margins arched; front broad, deep, and strongly deflexed. Epistome not sunken transversely, its antero-lateral portion with two short and one interrupted straight ridge, which does not touch the straight upper border of the buccal cavern. Sternite of the chelipeds lightly coloured. Antero-external angle of external maxilliped narrowly conical, lateral margin rather straight. External surface of cheliped palm with two distinct ridges, finger tips broadly rounded and of white colour. Inferior distal extremity of last pair of ambulatory legs at most obscurely serrate in large specimens. Male abdomen with sixth segment much longer than fifth. Male first pleopod curved, not stout.
