Carapace depressed, naked, smooth between the ridges, branchio-cardiac groove indistinct, hepatic region without strong vertical tubercle; lateral margins sub-parallel; front relatively wide. Interantennular septum smooth. Epistome not rugose, smooth in its middle and transversely sunken, its antero-lateral portion with one entire highly arched ridge, which touches the straight and vertically raised upper border of the buccal cavern. Sternite of the chelipeds coloured dark tan. Antero-internal angle of external maxilliped produced transversely. External surface of cheliped palm smooth, bearing two indistinct ridges, finger tips coloured dark tan or brown. Inferior distal extremity of last pair of ambulatory legs serrate. Male abdomen with sixth segment equal to or shorter than fifth. Male first pleopod straight and very stout. (Türkay 1995)
