Parapalicus hatusimaensis

(Sakai, 1963)

Antero-lateral border of carapace with a large, acute, and pointed external orbital angle, the following two teeth similar in shape, but a little smaller, behind them 3-4 small granules; frontal border bilobate, with a deep median fissure, each frontal lobe with an inner prominent tubercle. Chelae tuberculate on upper borders. Propodi and dactyli of second to fourth pereiopods with a row of setae along median line of their posterior faces. Male abdomen elongate. (Türkay 1995)

Type locality: off Hatsushima, west of Sagami Bay, Japan, 30-50 m.
Range: Japan - Sagami Bay (Sakai, 1963, 1965, 1976), Tsushima Strait (Takeda, 1973c), Kushimoto (Miyake, 1983); East China Sea (Takeda & Miyake, 1968c, 1972).
