Carcinoplax vestita

Carapace and pereiopods thickly covered with a coat of soft hairs. Carapace broader than long and longitudinally convex. Surface thickly covered with hairs, smooth on denudation. A tooth at the exorbital angle; two widely separated antero-lateral teeth, all three teeth small and acuminate. Front slightly concave. Supraorbital margin smooth. Chelipeds asymmetric; palm compressed, outer surface with the distal portion bearing thick hairs, inner surface bare and smooth, turgid at the middle and coarsely granulated along the dorsal and ventral margins; fingers distally acute and narrowly gaping; no black colouration; carpus with two spiniform teeth, at the inner and outer angles respectively. Ambulatory legs long, slender, and hairy (Guinot, 1998)
