Globopilumnus globosus

(Dana, 1852)

Carapace a little broader than long, subglobose, the dorsal surface markedly convex and thickly covered with short hairs mixed with long hairs mainly near the lateral borders. On denudation, the dorsal surface is very sparingly scattered with granules, the grooves separating 2M from 3M is fairly well impressed. Front bilobate, each lobe being markedly convex near the median sinus but entirely continuous with the supraorbital edge. Antero-lateral border bears only three (or four in juv.) tubercles disposed at some distance from one another. Wrist is covered with longish setae, beneath which are scattered a few granules. Palm is covered with studded tubercles, which are disposed irregularly and not in longitudinal series. (T. Sakai, 1939: 514)
