Dorsal surface of carapace not granulated and the regions ill-defined. The three antero-lateral teeth are spine-tipped. The external orbital tooth very prominent and obtuse; first and second antero-lateral teeth very stout, the former very obtuse and on upper level, the latter acuminate; the third antero-lateral tooth very small and spine-tipped. Type locality: Nagasaki, Japan.
Range: Japan - Nagasaki (Sakai, 1934a, 1939), Kii Nagashima, Kii Shiono-misaki and Nagasaki (Sakai, 1976a), Tanegashima (Takeda, 1976b), Shiono-misaki, Nagasaki and Amami-Oshima (Muraoka, 1998).
