Actaeodes semoni

(Ortmann, 1894)

The carapace is furnished with rigid setae implanted only on the granules, the furrows are smooth and naked. 2M is divided longitudinally into 2 parts; its external branch is indicated, on the anterior margin, by an outline of a fissure or is deeply subdivided longitudinally. 2M is entirely divided longitudinally into two parts; the external branch is subdivided longitudinally for all of its anterior half. The carapace is about 1.6 times broader than long or more. The regions have their margins irregularly cut (subdivided); the granules on these margins have, at their base, a horizontal fringe of rigid setae that hide the narrow and irregular furrows. The orbits are closed without leaving an orbital hiatus; the basal antennal segment is excluded from the orbit; 3M is subdivided into 3 parts. The first pleopod of the male is unknown.
