Carapace with six spines: one on the gastric, one on the cardiac, and two on each branchial region; postorbital region constricted, neck short; supraorbital eave smooth or with a few anterior spinules; margins of rostral lobes smooth, tips rounded. Eyestalk robust, laterally projecting and armed with a strong tubercle in front. Cheliped robust in male; merus and carpus with a few scattered granules above; palm swollen, with about six spinules on the upper margin and a few small granules on the lower margin, near its base; fingers acute, with a wide hiatus at base. Ambulatory legs very slender, dactyls of the las pair strongly falcate. Last segment of male abdomen subtriangular. (Türkay 1995)
