Carapace pyriform with a few spines medially and elsewhere on the dorsal surface and posterior margin; orbit spinulous, rostrum hardly developed beyond anterior margins of antennular fossae; interantennular spine projecting forward as a single short spine armed with lateral spinules near base. Orbit open above and below, eave not developed, a prominent postorbital spine. Eyestalk short, nearly straight. Basal antennal article narrow, spinous, its distal margin overreaching level of anterior margin of eyestalk; green (antennal) gland distinct and at some distance from junction of basal antennal article and epistome. Third maxilliped with merus narrower than ischium. Abdomen of six segments in both sexes, sixth and seventh fused. (Türkay 1995)

Range: Japan - Sagami Bay (Balss, 1929), Inubo-zaki (Yokoya, 1933, Sakai, 1938, 1976), Danjo-gunto (Griffin & Tranter, 1986a), Sata-misaki; East China Sea - near Tsushima (Takeda & Miyake, 1969e); 115-350m.
