Parisi, 1915

Anterior and lateral surfaces of carapace densely armed with sharp spinules of various sizes; pseudorostral spine with an accessory spinule; rostral spine more than half as long as pseudorostral spines. Chelipeds of male much longer than the following ambulatory legs. Merus of second to fourth pereiopods armed with large spines on anterior border, posterior one with spinules. Proximoventral corner of propodus of fifth pereiopods not produced, whole ventral border provided with spines. (Türkay 1995)

Range: Japan - Sagami Bay (Parisi, 1915a), Tanegashima (Yokoya, 1933), Inatori, Izu Peninsula (Sakai, 1935a, 1936), Sagami Bay, off Mikawa Bay, Kii Nagashima, Kii Minabe, and Tosa Bay (Sakai, 1976a), Sagami Bay (Guinot & Richer de Forges, 1981b), Sagami Bay, Kochi Prefecture and Mikawa Bay (Guinot & Richer de Forges, 1995); Taiwan -Tachi and Nanfangau, I-Lan County (Ng & Huang, 1997); Tungsha Islands (Ng & Huang, 1997); Hawaiian Islands - Oahu (Edmondson, 1932, Guinot & Richer de Forges, 1995); 80-450 m.
