Surface of carapace armed with prominent spines of symmetrical arrangement; pseudorostral spines simple; rostral spine slightly longer than pseudorostral spines. Chelipeds of male not much longer than the following ambulatory legs, merus, carpus, and propodus armed with strong spines on inner side. Merus of second to fourth pereiopods armed with large spines on anterior borders, posterior borders with spinules. Distoventral corner of propodus of fifth pereiopods not strongly produced, and armed with a few spines. (Türkay 1995)
