Genus Percnon

Gistel, 1848

Carapace longer than broad, extremely flat and depressed, disk-like. Interantennular septum moderately broad. Antennae fold nearly vertically in deep slits, visible in view, cut in the anterior border of the carapace, the slits dividing the interorbital space into three deep lobes. Merus of third maxillipeds very small, disposed obliquely in repose; exopodite extremely short and slender, without flagellum. Chelipeds and legs, though in place spiny, not dorsally rugose. Ambulatory legs rather slender and very thin even if meri are broad. (Guinot 1998)
