Carapace thin, flattened, sub-quadrate; second and fourth antero-lateral teeth subequal; epistome with 3 anterior median spines; merus of external maxillipeds smaller and narrower than ischium; ambulatory legs spinous; palm of cheliped with a setose rim along superior border. (Davie 1997)
