Genus Nanhaipotamon

Carapace more or less squarish. Dorsal surface inflated, appearing domed, almost smooth; epigastric cristae low, indistinct; postorbital cristae well developed but blunt, confluent with epibranchial teeth. Antero-lateral margins strongly convex; epibranchial tooth when distinct, blunt, forming distinct junction with acutely triangular exorbital angle. Third maxilliped: exopod with short but distinct flagellum; ischium squarish. Male abdomen triangular; proximal segments very broad; segment 6 and telson elongate, relatively broad. G1 relatively stout, almost straight; distal half of subterminal section stout, gently tapering. G2 with long basal section. (Guinot 1998)
