Carapace markedly wider than long, transversely subcylindrical, with a postero-lateral facet on either side. Eyestalks long. Third maxillipeds weak and slender, not nearly meeting across the buccal cavern; ischium and merus not fused together, separate; merus often very large; ischium distinct and larger than the merus; palp of ordinary size; dactylus terminal.
