Carapace ovoid, about 1.2-1.4 times as broad as long, widest at level of seventh or eighth antero-lateral tooth, convex in both directions; regions moderately to strongly defined, surface of those granulate and with a short thick tomentum; front moderately projecting, tri-lobed, lateral lobes broad, medial lobe on a lower level, projecting upwards; antero-lateral and postero-lateral borders not meeting at a distinct angle; antero-lateral margins strongly convex, cut into 10 teeth, first 9 of similar shape and size, tenth smaller. Meri of ambulatory legs with erect spines on anterior margin. (Türkay 1995)
