Genus Naxioides

A. Milne Edwards, 1865

Carapace elongate triangular or elongate pyriform in outline. Dorsal surface covered with well-defined conical spines or clusters of spinules. Rostral spines long, sometimes more longer than half the length of carapace, and with a dorsal accessory tubercle, situated either at tip or in distal half. Upper orbit with an intercalated spine. Ambulatory legs extremely long, thick or thin, cylindrical; meri unarmed or with a distal spine on P2-P3. (Guinot 1998)

Type species: Naxioides hirta A. Milne Edwards, 1865, by monotypy.
