Camptandrium sexdentatum

Stimpson, 1858

Carapace subhexagonal; dorsum with symmetrical raised crests, hairs quite inconspicuous; external orbital angle a broad based tooth and directed mesio-laterally; antero-lateral border of carapace with a rather conical tooth, which is subequal to exorbital tooth, and behind it lateral border straight; postero-lateral border with a strong conical tooth at its anterior end. Chelipeds equal, nearly naked and much stouter, though not longer than the following pereiopods. Ambulatory legs rather long and slender, third and fourth pereiopods longer than second and fifth; meri each without a terminal tooth on the anterior border, distal end of posterior border not conspicuously produced. Range: India - Chilka Lake and Madras Coast; Japan - Ohmura, Kyushu (Sakai, 1939), Sagami Bay, Ohmura Bay and Shimabara Peninsula (Sakai, 1976a), Amakusa (Yamaguchi et al., 1976), Shimabara, Ohmura and Ariake Sea (Muraoka, 1998); Korea - Geoje Island (Kamita, 1941), Mogpo (Kim, 1970, 1973); China - Hong Kong (Stimpson, 1858b, 1907), Liaodong Bay, Bo Hai, and south of Shandong Peninsula (Shen, 1932), near Guangzhou (Shen, 1935), Guangdong including Hainan Island (Dai & Yang, 1991); Gulf of Thailand; Indonesia - Bay of Batavia (Tesch, 1918a); muddy flats, between high and tidal marks.
