Ilyoplax formosensis

Male cheliped elongate with stout subproximal tooth on cutting edge of dactylus; carpus unarmed; cutting edge of dactylus with a single tooth. Abdomen of male not obviously constricted at the 5th segment. Carapace quadrilateral; orbits almost or quite transverse, short and thick. Lateral border of carapace with a notch behind exorbital angle. Carapace hard and well calcified. Pereiopods 2-4 tomentose with tympana occupying whole surface only on pereiopod 3. (Davie 1996)

Type locality: Taiwan.
Range: China - Muihwa; Taiwan - Taihoku (Sakai, 1939), Yuanshan and Hesangchou (Lin, 1949), estuary of the Tan-shui River (Huang et al., 1992).
