Carapace subtrapezoid, surface flat and smooth, but the frontal region and the near margins with fine granules and striae. Front slightly deflected, its anterior margin nearly straight. Postfrontal region with a pair of transverse ridges. Antero-lateral margin behind the outerorbital teeth bearing 1-2 teeth: the first tooth distinct, the second indistinct. The two lateral margins divergent posteriorly. Posterior margin straight. Infraorbital crest composed of 3 lobes. Merus of the third maxillipeds with an oblique crest extending to the antero-external angle of the ischium.
Chelipeds symmetrical, smooth. Carpus with its dorsal surface rhomboidal. Palm 1.4 times as long as high. Fingers with the inner borders finely denticulated, not gaping. Ambulatory legs slender; merus finely serrated on the anterior and posterior borders. Propodus and dactylus with long and short setae.
First pleopod of the male stout, with the distal chitinous process slightly narrower and longer. Abdomen of the male triangular; telson rounded distally, as long as broad. Carapace length of the male 5.5 mm, breadth 6.7 mm. (Dai & Yang, 1991)
